Beautiful! How long did it take you to find one with the mileage that low?!

Oh, and I'd delock it sharpish!

K04-023 powered Golf. Should have bought a TT/R32 in the first place, but where's the fun in that ?!

Good choice on the half leather interior. The seats don't crease and sag like the full leather version.

However, 32mpg! I assume it was downhill all the way home? ;)

Well after last weeks rain the car had got dirty, not mega mucky but enough to warrant a wash in my eyes.

The thinking was why just give it wash when its going to get in a similar state every week for the next few months so it got the works apart from a machine polish.

    Ordered from Elitecarcare and Cleanyourcar.

    Decided on the following process.

1.Snowfoam prewash (Valet pro snowfoam and CG Maxi suds II mix)

    2. Wash (CG Maxi Suds II)

    3. Clay (Elitecarcare fine poly clay and Dodo juice Born Slippy lube)

    4. Lite wash (CG Maxi Suds II)

    5. Polish (Zaino Z5)

    6. Glaze (Poorboys White Diamond)

    7. Sealent (2 coats of CG Jetseal 109)

    8. Wax (Collinite 476s)

    9. Wheels (Washed with Bilberry wheel cleaner, sealed with FK 1000p and tyres done with CG New look trim gel)

    10. Exhaust (AG clean wheels, Megs NXT gen Metal Polish, CG Jetseal 109)

    11. Windows (AG Glass polish)

Im not the best photographer in the world but heres a few pics.

    Foamy

    After Polish and Glaze

    Super Shiny

    The Finished Article

Also gave the GTi a quick wash

Hopefully thatll see it through the worst of the weather and make my job a bit easier :)

How did you find the Poorboys Diamond White glaze? would you recommend it for reflex silver?

Been looking to buy some myself for my reflex silver GTi as it's the only glaze i can find with fillers for very light scratches.

Personally I rate the stuff, didnt see that many swirls before hand can see even less now. Very easy to use product Wink

Haha 32mpg just happens to be very good, thats why I took a pic of it. Usually get low to mid twenties on most trips.

If I said I got 4.3mpg the other day does that make you feel better? Embarrassed

    Very smart car pal.

What do you use to get all of the black crap out of the exhaust tip? Is it just wheel cleaner and elbow grease?

I used some Autoglym clean wheels as thats what was lying about, squirt it on let it dwell wipe off with a rag and give it a bit of a rub on the more stubborn crap. Quite suprised it did quite a good job Chuckle

Quite like that idea but personally the sharan badge is a bit too small for my taste might try it with a black golf badge though Yes

Thanks mate! Planning an aero wiper shortly, couldnt possibly be without a wiper I like to be able to see out of my rear window. Avg mpg is Mid to High 20's always run on super unleaeded.

LED sidelights fitted on sunday, will add pics when it gets dark.

I had purchased a mk4 grille in Deep Blue Pearl, I sanded this down, primerd, matte black paint and clear laquer. End result.

    Trial fit

This threw up the problem of not being able to fit my R32 badge as the donor grille had a flush back whereas the one that was already fitted had a hollow back, see below.

Backs swapped round, checked and fitted

Quite like the outcome, just waiting to see how my painting skills hold up Wink
