So went down to my local Homebase and got some Super Fine Wet or Dry sanding paper. Got back and decided to start on just on door. Cleaned the whole door thorougly and used wet paper to rub genltly over the marks that were (started on about 2 square inches). The bit i sanded turned white. Which scared me a bit. Washed it down and it was very white. Things were not looking good.
Decided to go and get some T-Cut. So dabbed a little over the bit i sanded and using slightly rough polishing cloth, started doing the circular motion, reminding me of Karate Kid. Had absolutely no idea how it would turn out.
After about ten minutes of rubbing on the same spot, i decided to give that bit a wash, and let it dry. I was amazed, theres no more marks, wooooohoooo, was going to do the rest, but it started raining.
So will be finishing this off this week sometime, will post pics of it. And yes, it seems its only the clear coat thats been affected.
Thanks guys for the advice and tips, one last thing though, should i apply a clear coat after doing this or would waxing and polishing do the job? Dont want it rusting or peeling.
